Homeopathics,
unlike herbal remedies, are regulated by the FDA and ninety-seven percent are available without a prescription. Homeopathics
work on the principle of "like cures like," similar to the principle used in vaccinations. A tiny amount of
the offending substance rallies the immune system to fight the symptom(s). Unlike drugs, which work against body processes
to suppress symptoms, homeopathic remedies work with the body's immune system to attack the problem, all without side
effects. Studies of the immune system are currently gaining momentum, partly due to the dramatic growth in auto-immune
diseases such as AIDS and cancer.
